Armando Bacot continues to do big things!

In North Carolina’s first game of 2024, center Armando Bacot scored his 2,00th point. The big man has been a constant for the Tar Heels in his time with the program. He also moved to seventh on the all-time UNC scoring list and will likely end near the top.

A Whole Lot of Points

Now in his fifth season at North Carolina, Bacot continues to rewrite the history books. He is already the Tar Heels top all-time rebounder and has the most double-doubles. Now, Bacot has climbed to seventh in scoring and has over 2,000 points. In his career, he has made 743 two-point attempts, hit 3 three-pointers, and downed 508 free throws. With so many games left in the season, Bacot will continue to climb and has a real shot at second place all-time in scoring.

Seventh in Scoring

The current scoring list is as follows:

1st: Tyler Hansbrough- 2,872 points

2nd: Phil Ford- 2,290 points

3rd: Sam Perkins- 2,145 points

4th: Lennie Rosenbluth- 2,047 points

5th: Al Wood- 2,015 points

6th: Charlie Scott- 2,007 points

7th: Armando Bacot- 2,004

North Carolina has 18 more regular season games, at least one ACC tournament game, and hopefully an NCAA tournament game. In those 20 games, if Bacot can average just 14.3 points, he will end up being second all-time in scoring at UNC.

A great accomplishment for Bacot!
