Bacot continues his impressive UNC career.

Center Armando Bacot moved up to 10th all-time in scoring at North Carolina on Friday. He already holds a number of records with the Tar Heels, and this just adds to his legacy. Bacot is currently in his fifth year with UNC and has a chance to climb far higher on the scoring list before the season ends.

Who Else Can He Pass?

Ahead of Bacot on the list are:

  1. Tyler Hansbrough- 2,872
  2. Phil Ford- 2,290
  3. Sam Perkins- 2,145
  4. Lennie Rosenbluth- 2,047
  5. Al Wood- 2,015
  6. Charlie Scott- 2,007
  7. Larry Miller- 1,982
  8. Antawn Jamison- 1,974
  9. Brad Daugherty- 1,912

Bacot has a real shot to reach second.

The Climb

UNC has 28 regular-season games remaining, and if Bacot can average 14.75 points per game through that stretch, he will be tied for second place. To pass Hansbrough for first, he would have to average over 35 points per game for the rest of the regular season. The Tar Heels also have the ACC tournament and, hopefully, the NCAA tournament as extra games for Bacot to climb the list.

Through three games this season, Bacot has averaged 22.7 points. In his career, he has averaged less than the 14.75 needed to move to second just twice: during his freshman and sophomore seasons.

Along with his scoring prowess and many records at UNC, hopefully Bacot can qualify to get his jersey into the rafters!
