Big news for UNC!

The number four player in the 2025 class has scheduled an official visit to North Carolina. Elite prospect Koa Peat will be on campus the weekend of November 11th. This was first reported by InsideCarolina.

Recruiting Profile

Peat is ranked as a 5-star prospect by 247Sports. As previously mentioned, Peat is ranked as the #4 overall player in his class. He is a 6’8, 235-pound power forward from Gilbert, Arizona. Along with UNC, he has offers from all over the country. Those wanting him include Michigan, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, UCLA, Texas, and so many more.

Overview

Peat has an impressive basketball career already. Last season in high school ball, he averaged 19.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. Peat has played for Team USA’s Junior National Team and has been a top player throughout. For the U16 Americas Championship, he averaged 17.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.

2025 Class

Although offers are out, the 2025 class has not gotten rolling yet. There are very few players in the class committed as it is. North Carolina has an elite list of recruits it has offered, and getting them on campus is important. Armando Bacot will tell you, don’t visit UNC if you don’t want to commit, because you will. Soon, we should see the dust begin to settle on this class, and there will be more clarity.

This will be a big official visit for the Tar Heels.
